About Us
In 2019, women made up less than half of the House of Commons, with 35%. There has also only been 3 female prime ministers in the UK. As you can see, women have been historically underrepresented within politics. It is no surprise that young women and girls fail to engage in the political process and have a lack of interest in politics itself. However, we believe that this needs to change.
Politics affects women in all different areas of our lives including policies concerning the gender pay gap, domestic violence and sexual harassment.
We want young women and girls to feel like they have a voice, to feel as though they are appreciated within our society and are not undermined by male rulings. It starts with you! Join us in making sure young women and girls are educated in politics so that we can get to the root of the problem. How will girls realise they are interested in a subject they are not taught about?
